What the Ruling Planets mean
In Krishnamurti Paddhati, the Ruling Planets are the set of lords considered active for a given moment and place: the sign and star lord of the Moon, the sign and star lord of the Ascendant, and the lord of the weekday. They are used as a supporting timing/confirmation factor — alongside dasha and transits — never as a replacement for a chart's own cuspal significators.
Because the Ascendant depends on exact place and time, the Ruling Planet set differs by city even at the same instant, while the Moon's sign/star lord and the day lord are the same worldwide at that moment.
